he Wise Mango Tree
Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, there was a big, old mango tree. Its branches were wide, and it gave sweet, juicy mangoes every summer. People loved the tree, and children often played in its shade.
One day, a group of greedy woodcutters came to the village. They saw the mango tree and thought, “If we cut this tree, we can sell its wood for a lot of money.”
The mango tree heard their plan. Instead of panicking, it spoke gently to them, “Dear friends, if you cut me down, you will get wood only once. But if you let me live, I will give you sweet mangoes every year, which you can sell for many years.”
The woodcutters thought for a moment. They realized the tree was right. So, they promised never to harm it. From then on, the mango tree gave its fruits every summer, and the villagers shared them happily.
The mango tree smiled quietly and thought,
“Wisdom and kindness can save even the biggest troubles.”
Moral: Kindness and wise thinking can solve problems peacefully.
