Three States of Matter
Matter exists in three main states:
- Solid (ठोस)

1. Solids (ठोस)

A solid has:
- A fixed shape
- A fixed size (volume)
- Does not flow
- Is usually hard

3. Gases (गैस)

Gases:
- Have no fixed shape.
- Have no fixed volume.
- Spread in all directions.
- Cannot usually be seen.

Changes in States of Matter
Melting (गलना)
English
When a solid is heated, it changes into a liquid.
Example:
Ice → Water

Freezing (जमना)

When a liquid is cooled, it changes into a solid.
