Teacher shows objects:

Ask:
👉 Can we count pencils? (Yes)
👉 Can we count milk? (No)
💡 Conclusion:
- Pencils → Countable
- Milk → Uncountable

🔹 1. COUNTABLE NOUNS (गिनने योग्य संज्ञा)
Definition:
Countable nouns are things that can be counted one by one.
👉 जिन्हें हम एक-एक करके गिन सकते हैं।
Examples:
- book, pen, apple, chair, boy
Features:
✔ Have singular and plural forms
👉 boy → boys
✔ Use numbers
👉 1 book, 5 books
✔ Use articles: a/an
👉 a pen, an apple
✔ Use “many”, “few”
👉 many books
Sentence Examples:
- I have three books.
- She bought a dress.
🔹 2. UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS (अगिनत संज्ञा)
Definition:
Uncountable nouns cannot be counted separately.
👉 जिन्हें अलग-अलग गिन नहीं सकते।
Examples:
- water, milk, rice, sugar, air, sand
Features:
✔ No plural form
👉 NOT “waters” or “rices”
✔ Cannot use numbers directly
❌ 2 waters (wrong)
✔ Use “some”, “much”, “a little”
👉 some milk
Sentence Examples:
- I drink milk.
- We need some rice.
🔹 3. IMPORTANT RULE (VERY IMPORTANT FOR GRADE IV)
👉 We cannot count uncountable nouns directly,
but we can use measure words.
