Blood is a liquid connective tissue.
Components of Blood
1. Plasma (प्लाज़्मा)
- Liquid part of blood.
- Transports food, hormones, and waste materials.
2. Red Blood Cells (RBCs) (लाल रक्त कण)
- Carry oxygen.
- Contain haemoglobin.
3. White Blood Cells (WBCs) (श्वेत रक्त कण)
- Fight germs.
- Protect the body from diseases.
4. Platelets (प्लेटलेट्स)
- Help in blood clotting.

The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body.
- Located slightly to the left side of the chest.
- About the size of a clenched fist.
- Has four chambers:
- Right Atrium
- Right Ventricle

Pulse Rate (नाड़ी)
Pulse is the rhythmic throbbing of arteries caused by the beating of the heart.
Normal pulse rate:
70–100 beats per minute (adults at rest).
Children generally have a faster pulse rate.
Excretion in Humans

Excretion is the removal of waste products from the body.
Main excretory organs:
- Kidneys
- Ureters
