Week 1: Foundations of Creative Writing & Storytelling

Day 1: Introduction to Creative Writing & Storytelling

Objective: Understand the concept of creative writing and storytelling.

Concept Explanation:

  • Creative writing means writing using imagination.
  • Storytelling is telling or writing a story with characters and events.
  • Stories can be real or imaginary.

Teacher Activity:

  • Tell a short, engaging story orally.
  • Ask students how the story made them feel.

Student Activity:

  • Share favorite stories or cartoons.
  • Draw one thing they like to imagine.

  • What is a story?

Day 2: Elements of a Story

Objective: Identify elements of a story.

  • Characters – who is in the story
