Main Objectives / मुख्य उद्देश्य:

  • चित्र को देखकर सरल वर्णन लिखना और बोलना सीखना (Learn to describe a picture in simple sentences, both orally and in writing)
  • कहानी की संरचना समझना (beginning, middle, end) और अपनी कहानी बनाना (Understand story structure and create original stories)
  • हिंदी में नए शब्दों का उपयोग करना और सही वर्तनी (spelling) का अभ्यास करना (Use new Hindi vocabulary and practice correct spelling)
  • कल्पना शक्ति और आत्मविश्वास बढ़ाना (Enhance imagination and confidence in expression)

Key Skills / मुख्य कौशल: Descriptive writing, narrative writing, vocabulary building, speaking, listening, creative thinking.

Materials Needed / आवश्यक सामग्री:

  • Colourful pictures/posters (e.g., a park scene, animal adventure)
  • Flashcards with key words
  • Whiteboard, markers, crayons, drawing sheets
  • Printed worksheets (detailed below)
  • Story books or props (e.g., toy animals for role-play)
  • Optional: Projector for showing pictures

1. Warm-up Activity (5–10 minutes) – गर्मागर्मी गतिविधि

English: Good morning, children! Today, we will look at pictures and make stories!
Who likes drawing? Who likes telling tales? Raise your hands!

Hindi: नमस्ते बच्चो! आज हम चित्र देखेंगे और कहानियाँ बनाएँगे!
कौन-कौन चित्र बनाना पसंद करता है? कौन कहानियाँ सुनाना पसंद करता है? हाथ उठाओ!

Quick Game: Picture Peek (चित्र झलक)

  • Show a covered picture partially → children guess: “यह क्या है? (What is this?)”
  • Examples: Show part of a tree → “यह पेड़ है! (It's a tree!)”
  • Add description: “यह हरा पेड़ है। (It's a green tree.)” This activates observation and descriptive words.

2. Introduction to Topic (10–12 minutes) – विषय परिचय

Picture Composition (चित्र विवरण):
Explain: चित्र को देखकर हम बताते हैं कि क्या हो रहा है। हम जगह, लोग, जानवर, और भावनाएँ बताते हैं। (In picture composition, we describe what's happening in the picture – place, people, animals, feelings.)

Storytelling (कहानी लेखन):
Explain: कहानी में शुरूआत (beginning), बीच (middle), और अंत (end) होता है। हम चित्र से कहानी बना सकते हैं। (A story has a beginning, middle, and end. We can turn a picture into a story.)

Sample Picture & Demo:
Use a simple picture: A park with children playing, birds flying, trees, sun.
English Demo: "In this picture, I see happy children. They are playing on swings. The sun is shining."
Hindi Demo: "इस चित्र में, मैं खुश बच्चे देखता हूँ। वे झूले पर खेल रहे हैं। सूरज चमक रहा है।"

Ask children to add 1–2 words: “और क्या दिख रहा है? (What else do you see?)” – e.g., फूल (flowers), कुत्ता (dog).

Vocabulary Introduction (नए शब्द):
Teach 10–12 key words related to theme (park/adventure). Repeat 3 times + actions.

  2. झूला (swing) – up-down motion
  3. बच्चे (children) – play action
  4. पक्षी (bird) – fly wings
  5. सूरज (sun) – bright light
  6. खुश (happy) – smile

3. Main Activities – मुख्य गतिविधियाँ (25–30 minutes)

Activity 1: Picture Description Group Work (चित्र विवरण समूह कार्य) – 10 minutes

  • Divide into groups of 4–5.
  • Give each group a picture (e.g., village scene, zoo, rainy day).
  • Discuss & write 4–5 simple sentences: Example: “चित्र में एक गाँव है। लोग काम कर रहे हैं। बच्चे खेल रहे हैं।” (In the picture, there is a village. People are working. Children are playing.)
  • One child presents orally.

Activity 2: From Picture to Story (चित्र से कहानी) – 10 minutes

  • Use the same picture.
  • Guide structure:
    • शुरूआत: क्या हो रहा है? (Beginning: What is happening?)
    • बीच: क्या होगा आगे? (Middle: What happens next?)
    • अंत: कैसे खत्म होगी? (End: How does it end?)
  • Children create a short story (5–7 sentences). Example: “एक पार्क में बच्चे खेल रहे थे। अचानक बारिश हुई। वे घर भागे और खुश हुए।” (Children were playing in a park. Suddenly it rained. They ran home and were happy.)

Activity 3: Role-Play Storytelling (कहानी नाटक) – 5–10 minutes

  • Children act out their story using props.
  • Class votes for “सबसे मजेदार कहानी (Most fun story)”. This builds speaking confidence.

These can be printed as A4 sheets or displayed. Use big fonts, spaces for drawing/writing, and pictures for engagement.
