A noun is the name of a person, place, animal, or thing.

👉 Hindi:

👉 English:
A proper noun is the name of a specific person, place, or thing.

👉 Hindi:
विशेष संज्ञा किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु का नाम होती है।

⭐ Rule:

  • Always begins with a capital letter

  • Ram, Sita
  • India, Delhi
  • Ganga

✅ 2. Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)

👉 English:
A common noun is a general name.

👉 Hindi:
जातिवाचक संज्ञा सामान्य नाम होती है।

  • boy, girl
  • city, river
  • teacher, school

A collective noun is the name of a group.

समूहवाचक संज्ञा किसी समूह का नाम होती है।

✅ 4. Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

👉 English:
Abstract nouns name feelings, qualities, or ideas.

👉 Hindi:
भाववाचक संज्ञा भाव, गुण या विचार का नाम होती है।
