🔢 A. What is an Arithmetic Expression?

(अंकगणितीय व्यंजक क्या है?)

An arithmetic expression is a combination of numbers and operations.
👉 अंकगणितीय व्यंजक संख्याओं और संक्रियाओं (जोड़, घटाव आदि) का मिश्रण होता है।

Examples:

  • 5 + 3
  • 10 − 2 × 4
  • (8 + 2) × 5

⚙️ B. Basic Operations (मूल संक्रियाएँ)

  • Addition (+) → जोड़
  • Subtraction (−) → घटाव
  • Multiplication (×) → गुणा
  • Division (÷) → भाग

📏 C. BODMAS Rule (क्रम का नियम)

 

Explanation:

  • B → Brackets (कोष्ठक)
  • O → Orders (powers)
  • D → Division
  • M → Multiplication
  • A → Addition
  • S → Subtraction

👉 Always solve in this order

✏️ D. Solving Expressions (व्यंजकों को हल करना)

Example 1:

 

Step:

  • Multiply first → 2 × 4 = 8
  • Then subtract → 10 − 8 = 2

👉 Answer = 2

Example 2:

 

Step:

  • Bracket → 8 + 2 = 10
  • Multiply → 10 × 5 = 50

👉 Answer = 50

Example 3:

 

Step:

  • Division → 20 ÷ 5 = 4
  • Multiplication → 3 × 2 = 6
  • Addition → 4 + 6 = 10

👉 Answer = 10

⚠️ E. Common Mistakes (सामान्य गलतियाँ)

❌ Solving left to right only
👉 केवल बाएं से दाएं हल करना गलत है

❌ Ignoring brackets
👉 कोष्ठक को नजरअंदाज करना
