📖 STUDY MATERIAL (CONCEPT EXPLANATION)

🔹 1. COUNTABLE NOUNS (गिनने योग्य संज्ञा)

Definition:

Countable nouns are things that can be counted one by one.

👉 जिन्हें हम एक-एक करके गिन सकते हैं।

Examples:

  • book, pen, apple, chair, boy

Features:

✔ Have singular and plural forms
👉 boy → boys

✔ Use numbers
👉 1 book, 5 books

✔ Use articles: a/an
👉 a pen, an apple

✔ Use “many”, “few”
👉 many books

Sentence Examples:

  • I have three books.
  • She bought a dress.

🔹 2. UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS (अगिनत संज्ञा)

Definition:

Uncountable nouns cannot be counted separately.

👉 जिन्हें अलग-अलग गिन नहीं सकते।

Examples:

  • water, milk, rice, sugar, air, sand

Features:

✔ No plural form
👉 NOT “waters” or “rices”

✔ Cannot use numbers directly
